PARKED

The sixth Annual PARKED event kicks off our July celebration for National Parks and Recreation Month. We will have food trucks, live band, bounce houses, vendors, activities for children, and sprinklers in the fields before ending the night with a full fireworks display. This event is free and open to the public to attend.

Mark your calendars for Friday, June 28th, 2024 at Stump Park.
The festivities kick off at 5:30pm with fireworks at 9:30pm!

Thank you for your interest in the PARKED event! You can find details on this year’s event in the application linked below. Please note that this application is for food trucks only. No pop-up tents or other food vendors are allowed. Applications are due by Friday, April 19th.

Kids Activities

New City Church LogoThis year's kid's will feature bounce houses (5:30-8:00pm), face painting and fun and games with New City Church! Bring your swim suit and towel, we will have the sprinklers on fields two and four running throughout the evening!

Location and Hours
PARKED Takes place at Stump Park located on teh corner of Woodland and 47th Street in Shawnee, KS. The address is 4751 Woodland Drive, Shawnee KS 66218.

The event begins at 5:30pm and culminates with fireworks beginning at 9:30pm. The show is approximately 20 minutes long.

FAQs
  • Coolers and outside alcohol are allowed for adults over the age of 21. A few trucks will also be selling alcohol.
  • WaterOne will be on site with the Quench Buggy handing out ice cold water!  
  • Event parking is limited, so please consider carpooling, walking or bicycling.
  • A shuttle service will be available to and from Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 5500 Monticello. The shuttle will run beginning at 5:30pm
  • Most food trucks accept debit/credit cards, but cash is appreciated (and probably the fastest option).
  • There will be a seating area with tables & chairs, but picnic blankets and portable chairs are welcome and encouraged!
  • Service dogs are allowed for those with disabilities. No other pets, please.
  • Stump Park has limited restrooms, but portable toilets will also be available.
  • Entry to the event is completely free and no tickets are required! Any food, drink, and vendor purchases will be at your own expense, but feel free to enjoy the all the entertainment free of charge!
  • We are expecting a large turnout. We are very excited to spend an evening in the park with you! Please understand that there may be long lines and you may have to wait to receive food. Bring along your family and friends to help keep you entertained!
