Here is an updated list of road closures throughout the City. If you have any questions about the closures, shoot us an e-mail us here.

  • On Thursday, June 17, Johnson Drive will be closed in both directions from King to Bluejacket from 3pm-8pm. This is for the Moonlight Market event. Drivers will still be able to access both King and Bluejacket and detours will be marked. Nieman will also be closed at Johnson Drive, but drivers can detour at West 58th Street and West 59th Street.
  • Starting on Thursday, June 3, a stretch of Greenwood Street south of Johnson Drive will be closed for two weeks so crews can complete work on a stormwater project. Detours will be posted.
  • KDOT is doing work at the intersection of K7 and 43rd Street through mid-June. K7 will be reduced to one lane in each direction as crews work on widening the shoulders near the intersection.  Drivers will still be able to access 43rd Street but delays on K7 are expected.
  • Starting Monday, April 12, Kansas Department of Transportation will be starting bridge deck work on the bridge over K-7 at 67th and Shawnee Mission Parkway. The southbound K-7 to eastbound 67th Street ramp and the northbound K-7 to westbound 67th Street ramp will both be closed during the project. Eastbound and westbound 67th Street will be reduced to one lane. The project is expected to wrap up in mid-September.
  • Starting Monday, March 8, Monticello Road will be closed from Midland Drive to 71st Terrace. This closure is expected to last several  months. The Monticello Road Project is now underway, so drivers can expect detours and some temporary closures from Shawnee Mission Parkway to 71st Terrace and 71st Terrace from Monticello to Chouteau. Crews will be working on this large project through August 2021. If you'd like to read more about the project, click here
